making up the pavement

of less-travelled roads,

mining for treasure deep in my bones

Tried institutions of the mind and soul:

it only taught me what I should not know.

Sono andato alla ricerca delle pietre che componessero i marciapiedi delle strade meno battute, ho scavato nel profondo delle mie ossa alla ricerca di un tesoro che non ho mai trovato.

Ho cercato venerazione, ho provato a trovarla in una bottiglia e sono tornato di nuovo indietro, mi sono “fatto” di buone intenzioni, ma tutto ciò mi ha solo fatto crollare.

Ho provato tutte le istituzioni di mente e anima, ma mi hanno insegnato soltanto ciò che non dovrei sapere. Oh,e la risposta, beh, chi l’avrebbe mai detto che potesse essere così semplice, qualcosa di così semplice?

Ho viaggiato al confine di ogni mare, ho visto tutte le sette meraviglie, provando a dare un senso, ho memorizzato il mantra di Confucio, ma mi ha soltanto deluso.

Ho provato l’assoluzione della mente e anima, ma mi ha portato soltanto dove non dovrei andare. Oh, e la risposta, beh, come ho potuto non vederla, un qualcosa di così semplice?
